Knowledge Today, Success Tomorrow

We, at West Mesa, in collaboration with our community, are responsible for educating
our students so they can become successful, productive members of society. We provide
a variety of experiences and learning opportunities through a personal approach, because
our students are unique individuals. We focus on quality education that provides and
builds on essential skills and knowledge through a diverse and integrated curriculum. We
promote life long-learning so students can realize their full potential as individuals and
community members.

1. Develop curriculum that will provide relevant choices to enable a high level of student success.
2. Create a safe, respectful environment where all share a passion for learning and strive toward excellence.
3. Create a learning organization that provides opportunities to respond to future trends and needs.

A site-based management/instructional council which collaboratively works toward:

• Creating a school that better serves the needs of all students.
• Preparing students for a future that may be quite different than we expected.
• Creating and maintaining an effective learning environment.
• Fostering instructional excellence
• Evaluating and implementing a curriculum drawn out of our best knowledge that produces highly skilled graduates.
